It's 4:27 am and I'm still at the office when I shouldn't be.
Don't ask why.
Well, of course I'm here for work but... nevermind.
Flasback 24 hours ago...
Went to the launching of Jessica Zafra's FLIP.
Got drunk on two bottles of red wine thanks to a certain writer, who is also, currently, undergoing a "Oh my God I'm turning 30 this year" crisis! Otherwise known as the
"Tick... Tick... BOOM!" syndrome.
Got to watch that play last Saturday, thanks to Telly. Watched the play with Brandie, Roach, Grace, RG, Jason, Tina, and of course, Telly. Strangely enough, the play made me "calm down". Made me realize that 30 will pass me by and all that will matter is if I worked on "the work" or not. I think that as long as I get to do and keep on doing what I want... to write stories, then timelines won't matter, because eventually I'll get it done. Finish my story. Get it published. Get it done.
Anyway, back to the launching of FLIP.
I missed Rex Navarette's routine because I was at work.
By the time I got to the Mandarin ballroom, Radioactive Sago Project was already on stage.
Bumped into the usual suspects.
The guest list that night looked like a compilation of Twisted on a Sunday guests and co-hosts.
I think the only one I didn't get to see was Jedi Jobert.
I got to hang-out with some of the people, moved from group to small group, had my picture taken with Rex, found out that two or three of the guests were also planning to put up their own magazine, got some interested behind-the-scenes stories from the movie "Gamitan", and as Bing's Band played their last songs, I got dragged by that writer to one corner of the room where we finished the two bottles and ranted about turning 30. Her friends, who were both over 30, heard her rant and came over to console her. One of them said that 30 was her best year. In fact, she celebrated her 30th birthday with a debut.
Jessica shoud have set-up microphones at different areas of the room, recorded the conversations, and maybe just play it when Twisted goes back on air.
Well, it might be some time before she goes back to radio.
Looks like she'll be very busy with FLIP and from the looks of things, she's having way too much fun doing this.
And Jessica's plans for world domination conitnues...
