Hey classmates!

It’s not a dream! Not a hoax! Not an imaginary story!

BATCH72 #1 is now available at Comic Quest, Megamall!
As in, if you go NOW, you will see copies on the counter and can actually buy a copy (or copies for you and your friends and family and loved ones)! (To be distributed in other outlets within the month)

For the uninitiated, BATCH 72 tells the story of a college barkada who have super-powers.

“Yeah? So?” you might grunt.

Well, the thing is, Kupcake and her friends don’t want to be superheroes.
They just want to be a rock band!
They want their music to be heard and their friendship to last forever! But since they do have super powers, it means they get into a whole lot of super trouble.

Some of you are already very familiar with BATCH 72 and have been waiting for the past three years to see the next issue. Which is why we’re re-launching the title, for everyone else who didn’t get that first issue way back in 1998. But for those who did get that “collector’s item” issue, don’t worry, this new “No.1” is a whole new story and it picks up from the last story. Well… kinda. Oh, just go get a copy and read it!

Now!

Now!

Now!

Then come back here and tell me what you think!

Thank you!

Bwaahahhahahahahahaha

Plan 9 from George Lucas
I'm sure this is how he really pitched it.

Sticking to the schedule

Finished sticking the corrections around 3am.

Well, they did all the sticking and I did all of the cutting. Thank you Mark, Petite, Drake, Jojo, and Brandie!
Special thanks for Yellow Cab Pizza and Coke for keeping us alive!
We'd also like to thank... uhhh... I need more sleep.

So, we're ready to roll!

I plan to get to the book to Comic Quest, Megamall by tomorrow, or early Saturday if my tomorrow get screwed up.

After that, every weekend I'll be spending in some school with the PULP campus tour.

And now the hard part... selling the book... here we go! :)

Moving Day (part 2)

Well, this time I just moved a couple of steps into my own cubicle. :)
Now, I can go to sleep without the boss seeing. :)

About that "slight delay"

So, about those typos... the printing press has printed the corrected copy on sticker paper and they printed it out for free.
So, now it's up to me (and anyone else willing to) stick all the corrections on all the copies.
Hope to finish it before Friday.

Copywriting 101

"Brevity is the soul of wit."
Did I get that right?

Ay naku... been trying to crack this headline since last night.
Why can't I get it???????????????????????????????????????????
It's like learning how to write all over again.
Just when you think you've got it, turns out you don't.
bad trip
And so, we go back to the keyboard and try again.

Cold start

It’s 955am on my computer clock

Need to write three things

Well more than three things

There are three J.O.’s on my desk

Some small

Some big

Actually
They’re all little jobs

A sentence or two

A headline

A headline which you just can’t neglect

Trying to find a new way to say that “it’s a new way!”

Playing eheads PLAYGROUND in the background

In inq7 today
The list of the nominees for the national book awards

Yup he got in

Well, judging by the books that came out this year, there would be more compete next year

I can already see ONE NIGHT IN PURGATORY, ISAW and THE LOST getting in
Depends what else comes out in the next three months

Ahhhhh
Just trying to loosen and stretch the old typing fingers

Crack

Crack

Jogging the grey matter to start thinking

I’m still on auto pilot

Still asleep

This instant coffee just isn’t kicking in

Damn I need that brewed stuff

When I was parking Brandie called and told me the cost of an I-book
And from the looks of it
If we do get it
It’ll mean a whole of giving up stuff on my part
May have to really cut down on the books and the coffee

Ahhhhhh

The sacrifices we make for our craft

Geez

Took my last swig of the instant

As Elijah Snow said, tastes like a dog pissed in it.

Good morning.
