The day before you left for New York, Kuya and I were playing ball in the house. It happened so fast. The pass I gave Kuya was so strong, the ball bounced off his hands and found its way to the living room mantle. Time seemed to stop as your favorite plate fell to the floor. Tears flowed down my cheeks as you walked in the room.I closed my eyes expecting you to shout in anger. Instead, I slowly felt the warmth of your embrace. I’ve kept that plate ever since. Every time I see it and every time I call you on my Globe, I’m reminded that someday I’ll feel your arms around me once more.
