There is ONE problem...
"Where to go now? So the initial aim of The Date Project was for me to find a girlfriend. Well, that has pretty much happened now. 'K' and I have gone out a few times more, things are getting serious and continue to look promising. However, there is one problem. She's a Celine Dion fan. That is almost a deal breaker but with intensive counseling, a good attitude, and lots of luck, we should be able to work through that."
Hmmm... well, this guy was able to find a girl by Day 25. If this was me, it might a year-long mission. Maybe even longer. With lots of entries saying: HAD TO CANCEL DATE BECAUSE OF DATE. DAMN. DAMN. DAMN.
At least his blog serves as proof that love can still be found.
Ugh!

And here's a random sampling of the state of today's comic book fanboy:
Posted by CHEZMARIA in PinoyExchange.
Here's a true Filbar's story that happened just last week in SM Megamall.
Two guys looking at the buy one take one FHM magazines
1st guy: "Wow, pare. Eto bilin mo na FHM. Denise Richards cover!"
2nd guy: (notices the comic books) "Dehins. Ito na lang comics katabi ko pag tulog."
1st guy: "Tangina. Nalilibugan ka na ba kay Spiderman?"

Sino dito ang mga tagahanga nina Portacio, Haberlin, Alanguilan, at Kemp? Ako ibilang nyo na...... Nagbabasa ako ng kanilang mga animation comics, like the Stones, by Avalon Studios....

I had breakfast in Pancake House at 6:30am.
I was planning to go to the nearby donut shop but both Mr. Donut and Country Style were closed at 6:30 in the morning.
And you'd think donut shops should be open 24 hours.
Pancake House's piped-in music was some old Regine Velasquez CD.
Strangely enough, it was very soothing. (Maybe it's because I lack sleep.)
The rain has just stopped and the sky was still gray while I had my black brewed coffee.
I wouldn't mind coming to work this early everyday, as soon as I get to go home early as well.
While eating I thought that if anyone ever offered to give me a newspaper/magazine column about food/restaurants, I'd call it: HEY! ARE YOU GONNA EAT THAT?!
It's 9:06am. Work begins.

When I got home last night, I realized that I did write a book about the way she walked, and whispered, and looked. And mostly, it was about the way she walked away.
I still have the book. Don't really know what to do with it. Was supposed to give it to her but was advised by friends not to do so.
I could throw it away. Maybe if there was a way to make money out of it.
To make money out of misery. We could all be millionaires.
Maybe I could publish it. But it wouldn't make any sense to the reader, I suppose. Maybe just to her. Then again, with her short-term memory she would probably have no idea what that book is all about. Bummer...

I've only had two hours sleep.
It's already 9:23pm.
I'm just trying to finish this thing... just have to figure one this one sentence.
But I can't.
So, I've gone online.
Just went to Shiloah's blog, where she has publicly quoted lyrics from Mandy Moore's song to show her love. I can't believe how much she's in love. (Actually, I should... considering I've got friends who are very much in love and would probably do something along the same line of professing their undying love).
Anyway, it just reminded me of this song...
I Could Write a Book
If they asked me I could write a book
About the way you walk, and whisper and look
I could write the preface on how we met
So the world would never forget
And the simple secret of the plot
Is just to tell them that I love you a lot
Then the world discovers as my book ends
How to make two lovers of friends
I gave her a copy.
Sang it to her once.
But she left.
I bumped into her last Friday.
Of all the cafes and all the coffee shops in the world I had to walk into that one.
I could've decided to go into the Starbucks next door, but I didn't.
I just had to go to Figaro.
And there she was.
With her new hair-do.
She's my Mr. Big. (So, does that make her Miss Big? I think she'd be insulted by that name.)
Anyway...
It's 9:30pm.
I still need to think of that one line and finally go home.
