babbling fangirl :)
Well, she's not really a fangirl but she did sign my guestbook!
Hello Diane!
new stuff to read
1. IndieFilipino is now online. Check it out!
Hmmm... as Gerry suggested, they should have something about indie Pinoy komix.
2. Pagedown, the 72dpi downloadable magazine is also now available.
Still looking for heroes...
Mark said: "We should realize that there is a human cost to having our people become migrant workers, Wired Magazine or not. We are not `the forerunner of tomorrow's distributed economy` because we want to, but because we don't have a choice."
Be that as it may (i've always wanted to use that phrase), our OFWs not having a choice but to work abroad so that they can feed their families is the main reason they are hailed as heroes. If they travelled abroad just for the heck of it, because they wanted to walk the earth, then they are adventurers and not heroes. And at the end of each day, they earn a couple of more dollars to send home. And that keeps families alive. And that keeps the kids in school. And they hope to save enough and come home and never leave again.
But for now, their story still ends with TO BE CONTINUED.
