Year 4

And you can tell everybody this is your song It may be quite simple but now that it's done I hope you don't mind I hope you don't mind that I put down in words How wonderful life is while you're in the world So excuse me forgetting but these things I do You see I've forgotten if they're green or they're blue Anyway the thing is what I really mean Yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen

Year 4

I've been awake for a while now You've got me feelin' like a child now 'Cause every time I see your bubbly face I get the tingles in a silly place And it starts in my toes And I crinkle my nose Where ever it goes I always know That you make me smile Please stay for a while now Just take your time I've been asleep for a while now You tuck me in just like a child now 'Cause every time you hold me in your arms I'm comfortable enough to feel your warmth Where ever you go "Bubbly" by Colbie Caillat "Doppio" artwork by Wella

Balut Egg in IRON MAN

In INVINCIBLE IRON MAN # 28... ... we get to meet Mr. Cababa from Manila. When Tony Stark asked him about the Pinoy super hero team "Triumph Division", Cababa mentioned that there's a "new regime" running things. (It should be interesting to point out that this issue came out on the week of President Noynoy Aquino's inauguration.) Stark then invited him to join his new company and become part of the team that will create a repulsor-powered electric car.  Find more balut eggs at http://babblingpoint.blogspot.com/2009/06/balut-in-superheros-underpants.html

Bathala Apokalypsis begins

What if there were only one superhuman in the whole world? What if the world was about to end as predicted in the Book of Revelations? What can one superman do to hold back the hand of the Almighty? read the first chapter at http://www.davidhontiveros.com/bathala_pages/coverplus_bat.html Story by David Hontiveros Art by Ace Enriquez Based on an idea by Gerry Alanguilan Costume designed by Kajo Baldisimo & Ace Enriquez

the pain from an old wound

Nostalgia — it’s delicate, but potent. Teddy told me that in Greek, “nostalgia” literally means “the pain from an old wound.” It’s a twinge in your heart far more powerful than memory alone. This device isn’t a spaceship, it’s a time machine. It goes backwards, and forwards. It takes us to a place where we ache to go again. --Don Draper I've only watched the first two seasons of MAD MEN and this is still my favorite quote and favorite scene. GENTXT (2005 campaign)

!!!FLASHBACK FRIDAY!!! Back in 2005, I got dragged into helping out with this project, where I got to work with director Romeo Candido . This campaign was Romeo first advertising work in the Philippines. He would later say that this project gave him a crash course on how it is to work in Philippine advertising. Years later, after he directed the horror movie "Ang Pamana: The Inheritance" , we got work with him again on the viral videos we did to promote the Neil Gaiman event in Subic . 1 2 3 4 This commercial stars Teddy Corpuz, who was just starting out as the singer of the band Rocksteddy. The team found him in a casting session for a project that never pushed through. When we needed to find a new Gentxt guy, they immediately remembered him and knew that he was perfect for the role.

INCEPTION movie posters

Goes without saying how excited I am to watch INCEPTION. Good review so far! Love these posters, especially the ones that introduce the characters. They sound like superhero codenames and I am such a sucker for getting to know new characters.  All posters were found from Empire's site: http://www.empireonline.com/futurefilms/film.asp?id=136118 Empire's review of INCEPTION: http://www.empireonline.com/reviews/review.asp?FID=136118 Plot : Corporate spy-for-hire Dom Cobb (DiCaprio) steals ideas in dreams, but then he's hired to achieve the impossible: "inception" - planting an idea in the mind of a target. If he succeeds, he can see his estranged children. If he fails, he'll be trapped forever. Verdict : Like The Matrix mated with Synecdoche, New York — or a Charlie Kaufman 007. To paraphrase Casino Royale’s Vesper Lynd, it’s a meaningful pursuit in a summer of disposable entertainments. With physics-defying, thunderous action, heart-wringing emoti...
